    Thanks for the responses!
For how much did you buy the hoses and from where?

I bought some 3.5mm and 5mm cloth braised line on eBay. I used the 3mm for the fuel regulator to intake manifold and I used the 5mm for the valve cover to intake manifold. The eBay item numbers for those two auctions are 250046895351 and 200076761834 in case you want to reference them. These were about $2/ft.

For the larger vacuum lines I just used 5/16" and 3/8" fuel line that you can get cut off the roll at any auto parts store. These were about $1.50/ft.

I got this quotation from bmaparts:
    Vacuum hoses
    # 3 - boot - 13 54 1 427 780 - $42.55
    #10 hose - 13 41 1 735 325 - $12.50
    # 8 hose - 13 41 1 730 071 - $10.00

    Crankcase vent picture
    # 1 - connector - 11 15 1 703 710 - $5.40
    # 2 - o-ring - 11 15 1 730 724 - $2.95
    # 5 - hose - 11 15 1 726 828 - $2.10
    # 3 - hose - 11 15 1 735 150 - $4.90
    # 4 connector - 11 15 1 726 828 - $2.10

Vacuum hoses that you bought off Ebay, can they be used to change hoses 8 and 10? These are for 520i.

If you just want to replace that hose, go to an aftermarket parts shop, ask for a fuel line with a certain diameter of any kind of car which fits your purpose.
No need to buy from a BMW shop.

Number 10 hose has some special shape. Will a generic hose still fit?

no problem, they are quite strong and will not collapse when you bend them.
They usually have to withstand 3 bar pressure on fuel lines, so they also can stand a vacuum.
