1995 525tds irregular tickover.
My 1995 525tds has done 150,000 miles but with FSH. It starts from cold easily and ticks over smoothly and regularly for a few minutes and then starts to "hunt", going from about 600 to 900 rpm like an old diesel truck! It will continue to do this until the engine reaches normal temperature when it then settles down again to a regular and smooth tick over. Another 525tds I looked at before buying mine did exactly the same thing so I wonder if it is a common or recognised problem. Any ideas or suggestions please?
