    93,525i Straight 6
    What's the correct way to check Trans. Fluid level, when the car has been sitting a while or when it's warm and driven. Thank you.

    Car should be level
    Engine running at proper idle speed
    Gear Shifter should be in "P" or "N"
    Transmission Fluid Temp should be between 30 - 55 deg C

    Car running, fluid at temp.

    Dipstick:
    If so with the car on a level surface shift through all gears and back to park and then check the dipstick.
    No dipstick:
    There is a fill hole. Same procedure as above but the fluid should be right up to the level of that hole.
