    Default Accordian Strip Replacement?

How big of a job is this? Slash should someone with little car experience with limited tools attempt it? Mine's broken so that when it's in park you can see down there and I got a new one but haven't had the time to start it yet and wondered what I was getting myself into.

    Default not too hard

all you need is a piece of wire to pop the shifter consol panel up from under the ashtray end.

    Take off the shift handle.

    remove the shift consol panel
?? is your shift consol lighted ???
If so diconnect the light and remember to save the old according to match up to the new one to cut a notch for the light. keep in mind the position of the notch and the light or it will not slide.

    you do this two ways.

remove the screws and unclip the parts to slide out the old one and slide in the new one. if you a wood interior this is when the wood part falls off, you'll neeed to gule it back on to the backing.

    or

carefully move the old one into one of the end rolls derail it at the notch in the rail at the base of the end roll and slide it out.

now roll up the new gently and feed it in the end roll, you may have ease one of the fingers on the end roll to allow this. Line up the notch to the light if you have it, by puttong your finger in the hole for the shifter and moving thelight into place and test the movement

Vee ave vays of dealing vid your kind...........
