I got a message regarding my license plate light. I found the
passenger light out. Bought a new light and changed the old one.
This did not solve the problem. I checked the voltage and the
12 volts was open. I then wired the left side 12 volts to the
right side so I wouldn't get pulled over for a foolish reason.
My question is, I need a wiring diagram so I can replace the
broken wire that services the 12 volts on the passenger side
license plate light.
Actually, even better, how can you turn off the display for an
error to begin with? I like being able to cycle through and see the
time, temp, etc, but as soon as I turn on my lights, I get the
license plate light error, then you can't do anything anymore. Any
help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe I am saying something stupid, but thats my job here. If I understand your post, you are saying that you are getting the license plate light error message but the license plate light is actually ok. I thought when this happened it was usually a failed sensor.

must be open. To fix it, I somehow need to replace the wire in the harnass,
but that would be a nightmare. I don't know where the wire comes from.
That's the problem. I need a wiring diagram.
The wire comes from the LKM same as the other side

check along the left trunk arm.
I'd suspect a broken wire at the trunk hinge, Mine were all working but the insulation had come off on about 5 wires.
