Another question: How to remove the hose connecting throttle body and brake booster. Damn its so hard to get that rubber tube out of the metal tube.

    Thanks

I found it easier to remove the fuel lines from the chassis instead of the fuel rail. The lines themselves are connected at the rear of the engine to the fuel rail.

Follow the fuel rail back towards the firewall (either side) -- the lines meet at the furthest point back, from below. The fuel rail is symmetrical, so the other line (return or send, whichever hasn't been removed) is at the exact same spot on the other end of the rail. I use a pair of needle nose pliers to work the rubber lines from the metal ones, but sometimes the rubber lines will disintegrate and need to be replaced anyway.

    Default Fuel Line

I just hacked the old one off:

then replaced the entire rubber portion when I had the intake manifold out and I had room to get my hands in there.

    Default Fuel return line

Yeah, that's what I did. I cut the return line and just replaced the whole thing. It is a bear to get to.

Input line is on the driver side, return is on the passenger side. Ramon's picture shows the rear of the intake on the passenger side (return line).

Default Torn hose attached to Throttle body

    Hi Ramon,

Thanks very much for the pictures.

What is the purpose of torn hose in the picture.

I too got it torn while removing it. How do I replace it. Do I have to get the whole plastic tube and hose? or is it easy to just clean the disintegrated hose and replace that alone. I would like to know what you did.

    Thanks
    Arun

The torn hose runs from under the throttle body to the power booster unit.
    It's tight under there, so check the clamp orientation when you reassemble;

It's torn cause I had to grab it with a vise grip. Rubber was very brittle; not even pliable.
Check realoem. I'm not sure 'bout 530 plumbing.
I replaced all rubber and gaskets from the intake manifold on up. Injectors were refurbed too. Parts were from BMA.
