    Default My Bloody car

I must bethe dumbest guy on this web page> After spending in excess of a$1700 on trying to sor out my car using at least a couple of steelers and others I still have a problem with my electrics. The car keeps dropping into drive from economy and stalls at odd times. The wife is getting very scratchy about it and as you can appreciate my life is becoming difficult. I have replaced hoses instrument cluster twice egs module and still it is not running properly.
Even the Steeler told me to come and collect it as they cannot find the fault with a suggestion I get another gear box
Any ideas better still anyone in Brisbane who has someone who can help.I will have to consider selling

damm. Javier knows a lot about electronics, but since you have already taken it to 2 dealers I don't like your chances Bob.

stalls as the engine stops running? and if so, what speed? and if moving, can you recall if there was a gear change in progress?

Pulling into the driveway vitually no speed it stops. Going off at the lights it stops. My patience is fast disappearing. Could it be a sensor in the box that is causing the problem that seems to be all that is left

You mean the engine stops running? There could be any number of different causes. I would suggest trying a different dealership or an independent specialist. It sounds like your current dealership is lacking in diagnostic skills. It could be as simple as a cracked master fuse.

Gotta love it. @#$%^ dealer charges $$$$ because they are experts and have all the diagnostic tools. "Sorry sir, we can't figure it out, so we will just change expensive parts at your expense until we stumble on the fault. Oh, thats $$$ for the guesses so far".
    Good luck

since the last two posts were so beneficial to you fixing your problem. Im going to go a little OT here and ask why did you make 3 threads for this instead of one?

I don't know much anything about the gm slushes they stuff in our E34's but. My friends E34 had slippage problems and gears falling out. Instead of being a hardware problem it was software. Check there?
