Default Will 215/45/17s work on my E34 Touring?

I came across a smoking deal on a set Goodyear 215/45/17's and I would like to put them on my E34 Touring with M5 rep wheels if possible. Do you think I will run into any handling issues with this narrow of a tire? I currently am running a set of 15" chrome bottlecaps I can not wait to get rid of.

Have you run this combo through a wheel conversion calculator? I'm inclined to believe you will be undersize the stock setup for rolling diameter which might help your quarter mile times but hurt your ride and handling qualities.
