Thread: At the Junkyard/Recycler/Salvage Questions

    Okay, this was suggested twice to me. I think the problem I'd have with this is that most BMW's in salvage yards are picked clean of the stuff that most of us want. I can't use the central lock because all the door lock actuators are gone. I can't open the trunk because I don't have the key and ususally the yard just throws them away once they get the car on its stands.

    Am I missing something here? Is there a way I can short wires to make the actuator work even though I can't get in the trunk to begin with? Sure, I understand you can hook a 12v battery to the trunk light on the outside, but what good will that do if the central lock components are already gone? See my quandry?

    been there done that, easyer said then done sometimes when you are picking the car up by the trunk latch and bouncing it and the bastard still won't break
