    Default My 535 needs bleeding!

    Hi all

I have received many helpful comments on what the problem might be, i need to bleed the air out of cooling system.

There is only 6 litres of coolant in the system but it seems full, i have tried running the engine with the heater fans on full blast and removing the bleed screw on the thermostat housing while the engine is running, and squeezing the hoses to encourage the excess air from the system, i have done all the above and, there is still no room for any extra liquid, let alone nearly double what is in there.

    any help needed!

    Thanks

if you only pulled the lower hose there would be a buttload left in the engine. no clue how much.

that would explain the lack of room for extra water/ coolant.

id drain from the bottom hose again and add the antifreeze straight first then top with water. might be worth getting the block plug out if there isnt room for a 50/50 mix.

    Hi

I think i will do it again, once i had drained it from the bottom hose i thought it was empty, then i poured in 6 litres of antifreeze straight, i was going to add more water as required. i will attempt the job again, now that i have the knowledge to do it properly.

    Thanks
