Default Rattle in front, especially on ripple like bumps?

Rattle in front, especially on ripple like bumps? What are probable causes? If sway bar links, how to check? Wheels on ramps?

    Default could be several things

get it up on stands and check all the suspension points and the strut mounts for play.

wiggle the tires side to side, top to bottom

work the ball joints tie rod end sway link with a big pliers to see the play.

remove the dust cap on the strut mount and look for wear on the rubber web.

I once had pretty much the same problem, coming from one side though. My cap on my strut assembly under the dust guard thingy had unscrewed from the top of my strut assembly. I simply screwed it back on and have not had any problems since.

If it is in just the front and not a specific side then that's probably not it.

Rattle went away with new struts and sway bar links. Couldn't find play in link ends but replaced because 165k and new links on hand.
