Default Help! Heater Hose Part Number

I sprung a leak in the heater hose that runs from the aux coolant pump to the back of the engine. I tried to look up the part number on realoem.com. It looks like I need part #3, but they do not list the BMW part number. Anyone got a clue?

Does the hose you need have custom molded curves on it ?
If not you could use standard straight heater hose, available from any parts store.
You may want to replace all the heater hoses if there original hoses. Just to be safe.

Yes, it does appear to be a custom molded piece. I bought some heater hose at the auto store to try to replace, but I felt like it was going to be quite tricky to do so without crimping the hose. I'm perplexed why the part shows at realoem, but they did not identify the part number. I'll try the dealer today, and if that doesn't work, hopefully I can work it out with the straight hose I have. For a temporary fix, I cut the hose at the leak and spliced back together with a 45 degree copper elbow and hose clamps.

Thanks for the help. I'm not sure, but the shape of that hose looks correct. However, the diagram looks quite different from the other diagram at realoem.com as well as what I see under the hood. Here are a couple pictures - kind of hard to miss the splice, which incidently came off on my way to work:

Hmmm... it appears #9 in your diagram is the same part number as #16 in the realoem diagram. From what I can figure, that part seems to be used when the Additional Water Pump is ommited. It still appears to me that #3 at realoem.com is what I need - the hose that goes from the Additional Water Pump to the Engine Inlet.

Well, I went back to realoem.com and changed the vehicle to a 1990 525i and it lists hose #3 as part 64211384746. I'm going to go with my instinct here and order it.

That particular hose never shows up on 530's or 540's according to them, it shows up on 525's though :

I wouldnt... hose 16 part numbers do not match, meaning 3 wont either.

Default Theres a reason for that, in the ekm if you enter your vehicle application , it won't

let yo click on something that your car doesn't use. Thats why 3 doesn't come up for you.
