valve ticking? I love that sound :-D
Just bought a 92 535i and on the way home, the right front corner of the car started clicking and the faster the car went the faster the clicking went. After a minute or so, it went away. Now after I drive it to the store, come out 10-15 minutes later, it starts clicking, then goes away after a minute or so. Stop to get gas, starts clicking as I drive away, goes away after a bit. It's very loud! Not a wheel weight. Maybe a wheel bearing?????

The clicking speeds up as the car goes faster, not the RPM's of the motor. I'm in Portland also.
rock in the tire treads? A wheel bearing usually sounds like a whirring.

It does not do it all the time. Seams to click after it has sat for 10-15 minutes. I can't figure it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sticky caliper? Dragging a brakepad causing a chatter, once hot it stops? Cools off, starts again...bearings sometimes moan and groan. (or whir)
Just guessing...
Hmm,,,,new car to you? Wonder what wheels the PO had put on- mean,,if the offset is different than 20 or 25mm,,,and there are no spacers,,,wheels could be rubbing on sometning they shouldnt, then the sound goes away after driving for a couple of minutes.
check the brakes.
