I have been freakin out about "ok what am I going to cut up in order to fit like 4 gauges..." and then I decided to just run a cable and hook the ECU up to my carpc. What a great choice - the gauges are all programmable etc.

But I hate A-pillar gauges.
Indeed, this is a much cleaner looked and was definitly the smarter choice. Although I like gauges everywhere, I'd favor the cleaner stealthier look. Could we get a video of this in action maybe?
You still need to do a write up on CarPCs

How does it interface with the ecu/how much does that cabling cost?
How fast is the refresh rate on info it's pulling?

Got any cool ideas for cupholders?
It interfaces with my standalone ECU via a serial cable. The cable is 10' long and was $9. The refresh rate is realtime.Originally Posted by Fetch
