1995 525TDS Questions

I live in NY and just picked up one of these beauties (it was imported from germany in 1996)

Just hoping to find out any common issues, concerns, and genral maintnance tips on the car.

also if anyone is intrested and lives in ny check out nyspeed.com I am a moderator on the site.

Oh also wanted to know lug spacing and wheel offset if anyone knows

if the tds is the same as the other e34 the pcd is 120,offset is 20mm.The tds isnt a well known model in the US,you might have to wait for the euro boys to wake up.

Most common things on these are the dieselpump and injectors.Furthermore there are many cases on broken headgasket and turbo problems.525TD seems more reliable than the TDS only slower.
The rest is like a petrol E34.I think its a nice car and cheap with an average of 7,0Liter at 100km.7.2 on a autotransmission.
It has 143PS and can be chipt to a 160PS
