Looking at 1994 530 iT

Noob on the forum. Just got through looking at a '94 530it. Engine was replaced at 42K (115K car miles).

When I test drove it, I noticed some sort of rumble or possible grinding noise while under way. I don't think it was the brakes (at least not an obvious brake noise). It sounded more like bearings or even the power steering, as strange as that may sound. It just didn't feel quite right. I've done some searches but am coming up empty on any info regarding the front suspension or steering/bearings. Are there known issues with the front end of this model/year car? Other than that noise and a leaking sunroof, the car is immaculate. Thanks, Dan

could be the center driveshat bearing, front wheel bearings sometimes go too.
