    Default Help!!!! Car wont start!!!

    Hey all,

I just tried swtiching from the EAT chip to the Turner the PO had also used to see if there was any difference but now the car keeps cranking but no ignition...I switched back to the EAT but it still doesnt turn over...I made sure i grounded myself prior to working on this...should i disconnect the battery for some amount of time and try again?

Something similar happened to a friend's 530iA M60, we installed my (540iA) performance chip and his engine cranked over but wouldn't start. He also got a ‘Trans Program’ error. We discovered that we'd slightly bent one of the chip's 'legs', consequently it couldn't seat properly. I realise that your problem is occurring with 2 different chips but it might be worth checking regardless.
