aut tranny 4hp22 diffrent models

Hi all

i have a questen about diffrent 4hp22 e34 tranny versions. I found these diffrent model types:

4HP22-EW
4HP22-FJ
4HP22-EZ

Whats the diffrence between the 3 options?

Having a tranny replace soon and wanna know :-) Can i feel free to use any of the versions?

Dunno about those, I only know of 3, the A, the H and the EH:

ABCDEFGHI

AB: manufacturer ZF
C: No. of gears
DE: Trans type; Hyper Planetary
FG: Forgot this, I think it is to do with internal gear configuration
HI:

• EH: Electro Hydraulic (S/M mode and electronic selection)
• A: ?
• H: Hydraulic
• EZ: not sure
• EJ: not sure
• EW: not sure

If you are getting a second hand one I suggest you buy the rebuild kit and make sure its good before finding out it isn't...
