    Missed it Nick !
Let me guess - some post decrying the commercialism of fathers day ? Either that or about parenthood being the greatest conceit of all time - creating something in your own image ?
    True though !

Nah... not that deep I'm afriad. Just a concern that humanity might be Earth's most virilent virus and parenting simply perpetuates its toxic effects. I dunno, its weird. I just can't even bring myself to even think about it.

Perhaps I am too cynical, but that would be oxymoronic if I were to agree. Oh well, back to being single, aging and disappointing my girlfreind

Never complain of being too cynical or sceptical as these are the major traits that allow us to think for ourselves, to the extent that we ever do.

Don't fret too much about humanity - we will probably not survive and will be judged similarly to dinosaurs in that we were not able to adapt. The planet will survive, despite us doing our worst.

Be reassured by the thought that human life is the greatest disposable commodity on this planet, so our individual existence is worthless.

Fortunately my parents instilled my worthlessness in me at a very early age, allowing me to get used to the concept sooner than most. This then set me free from many of the constraints that govern many peolples lives, and so allowed me to do what I want, in my own way, to a very large degree.

This attitude, together with being a migrant (or wog, as I was always called when I was a kid), taught me to think outside the traditional square.

Sorry, that got far too heavy, but hopefully you understand what I am trying to say.
