E31 rim will fit an E34...just watch out for the offset.

I have both turbine and basketweave. They both fit. I use 225/55 16 in my snow tires. Tire clearance should not be a problem as the e31 wheels stick out a little due to the et15 offset. The e31 wheels are very good 16in wheels to use as they are out ther and the hub bore is the same...no hubcentric rings here.

The seller has them on an old 733, and just want's the whole thing to go away.

So, now I am working out a tow truck that will take the 733 to the yard and leave me the rims.

Anything else I should grab before she goes off to the yard?

OHH, cut the catalytic converter off if it's still there. If it's the OEM cat it's probably worth ~$100 to a scrap dealer. Other than that, not much worth pulling off a 733i.


BTW, lemme know if you need one or two of those wheels (bent/damaged wheel in that set, whatever)- the local junkyard has an E28 in there right now with 2 of them.


And, FWIW, I've seen lots of folks here locally haul complete cars to the scrap place on their wheels, then they take all the lugs loose when the crane operator is ready to pick the car up- he shakes the wheels off the car and throws the car body on the pile- or sticks it in the crusher. You can use a tow dolly or maybe borrow someone's flatbed trailer. Around here whole cars are bringing ~$3.00 per 100#, so a complete 733i is probably worth ~$100 in scrap value. Alternatively, call around to any local pick n pull junkyards and ask if they are buying cars- I think the local yard here is paying ~$150 per car (WITH Wheels and Cat intact), and they pickup.

Dude, take the engine. Its a good candidate for a turbo. At least pull the head as it has a lumpier cam and can be used on a B35. If building turbo on a B33 block, all you need do is change (along with the pistons&rods) and use a B35 crank to make it 745 spec. The 3.3 is also low compression so it might be a good stage 1 build with very little changed at all.

At the very worst, the head, gearbox nad so on will always net you bucks too. Aluminium is worth money... Nick
