::.. Depo Halo / Angel Eye Projector Ring Bulb

My spare set finally arrived and I took out the bulb. It's 2:10AM so I'm too tired to go identify it, but if anyone knows (or can read the markings), let us know what it is! The ruler is in CM.

I'm thinking it's the #74 bulbs on this page:

EDIT: I love the little detail of the dipped end so that it doesn't hotspot the halo ring as much.

So, these ARE #74 bulbs... BUT, standard #74 are just 1.5watts. I'm pretty sure these are the higher 2.3watt type. If you put in 1.5watt ones, the ring will be pretty weak in the day time... but on the plus side, you'll have white/blue at night. I'm deciding at this point whether to try it, or retrofit the CCFL rings I have. On the other hand, the LED type you find are highly directional so they won't do.

would they work if you paint the tips with silver? they look flat in the pic, and the light would just go sideways.

The reason they paint the tip is so that it doesn't hotspot, I would believe.

On the other hand, LEDs probably won't do good at all because...

Standard #74 bulb (1.5 watt) gives off about 121 lumens.
LED #74 bulb luminous intensity (millicandelas) is about 6200, beam angle (degrees) of 55 gives approximate luminous flux: 4.402 lumens... unless math is wrong.

Qube, do you know if it is possible to order a set of extra lenses for the Inpro/Depo eyes? I have to big holes in both lenses on my right side, causing water and dirt going straight into the projector.

well, the painting they use in generally not so reflective ceramic paint, but if you paint the flat tip of the LED with totally opaque highly reflective silver paint, it should cause all the LED light to go out the sides and eliminate any bright spot.
