Yes, you can swap your lock cylinder in to the new latch so your key will still work.
The latches are different for wood trim or no wood trim- which one do you need????
Bret.
Over the course of tuning my car I closed the glovebox maybe 10 times and then the latch/lock mechanism simply fell to the floor. I need the latch mechanism - I think my lock will swap in, correct? Please someone parting out a car let me know.

Same thing happened to me, turned out I just needed to screw in the handle a bit tighter from the inside of the glove box. I drove around for a month, looking for the "right price" for a new handle, etc. Then one day I decided to fiddle around with it, went out there tightened some screws, and it's been good ever since. I've used it more now after fixing than prior to.

I don't need the latch, but I am missing one of the clamps that lock the glovebox down. Where is the best place for me to get one? I'll start browsing for gloveboxes in junkyards I suppose.
