+1 vote for BMA. They also have free shipping on $50+ orders.

stay away from the Behr's. I bought one and it was bad right out of the box. I went nuts and replaced coolant hoses, thermostat, completely drained the block (you M60 guys know how much of a bitch those drain bolts are ) complete coolant flush 2x, fan shroud, radiator cap, tested aux. fan, took out every coolant hose that commonly gets clogged and shot it w/ compressed air, I even removed the radiator from the car and let the hose run through it for 1 hour and then blew it out with a leaf blower, and even cleaned off the ac condensor. Wound up being a bad fan clutch.

I have one that I originally purchased for my '97 528i/5, never used it, sold the car.

It's a SACHS, brand new in the box, $80 plus shipping from Atlanta, GA, USA. I checked the part numbers and it's the same for a 1997 528i as your 1989 535i. PM/email me, I accept PayPal..

VentoGT, you've got a deal and I don't have to deal with shipping, since we're both in Atlanta! Will be emailing shortly...

Actually from what I have heard BMA is superceding the Behrs with Sachs now. I too had a failed out of the box Behr clutch from them, hence my Sachs purchase from our Atlanta friend on the board. CALL BMA AND MAKE SURE THEY SEND YOU THE SACHS CLUTCH!!!
