    Default .....Quick Question....Please Help

    i have a 1993 BMW e34 525i that i had 205 65 r15 and was wondering if the wheels would fit a 1988 BMW 735i with the tire size 215 65 r15...

    my other question is that what are the measurements on the 15X7 right?

    these are what the wheels look like...

    let me know...thanks!!!!!!!

    Depends on the ET (offset) needed on the 7 series.

    It would physically fit due to the 5 stud fitment, whether it would be bolted on correctly with the right amount of positioning (too near the body, too near the outside) depends on the offset. ET-20 or thereabouts is good for an E34, not sure on the 7-series (but older 7- series was same as E34).

    However, the fact that its a 'bigger' combination you would be altering the final drive ratio slightly, which affects the acceleration, top-end and fuel consumption. I'll leave you to work out which way round :-) hint: better acceleration=lower top end and lower fuel consumption and vice-versa - its always a trade off. The calculation is to compare the 2 overall diameters complete with wheels and tyres [15 inches - in mm plus 2X215 or 205 X65%].

    Cheers.

    http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

    Would be a 2% differnace in tire size. 60 on speedo will actually be 58.8
