    Default Fan Blower problem

okay, so here's my problem. the car is 525i 11/'90. the car has been maintained, but i can say now it's going thru the process of repairing and making EVERYTHING work. so, the next thing is fan blower.

it only works on position 4, and sometimes doesn't want to work at all! at position 4 it still isn't blowing as hard as it should. i've read it might be controller problem, but i didn't manage to find which type of controller i have and what i should open or try to fix.

here are some pics how it looks under the tapestry.

    thanks for help.

It's all good. The pictures you took will be of a lot of help when people need to be directed to where things are

Just back from a blower filter exchange, and after assembly my blower only works on full setting. I knew about the problem with the sword from before, and I very much doubt that Ive damaged it. (I took great care when handling it)

BUT: On picture 4 above you can see a blue and a yellow connector connected to the blower-inlet-valve-controller-thing. Its the one in front of the sword. I removed both of these and tried to pull this thing out, but I was unsuccessful. I only got it about half-way out and something seemed to be holding it back, so I didnt feel like yankin too hard.

Then I see from picture 3 above from the opposite side that there are a turkish and white connector also - are these connected to this controller also, and is it possible that I by accident pulled loose one of those?

If yes, then perhaps that is the reason for the failure Im experiencing with my blower?

Edit: Although this sounds like a classical broken sword issue, none of the little green lights inside the buttons of the AC control panel works. It seems like the buttons do what they are supposed to do, although the lights does not work. Ive checked fuses and all seems like they are ok.
