    Default torque wrench settings

    does any one know if there is a torque wrench setting for the bolts that hold the bottom of the front strut in place, thanks in advance, rob

    you talking about the 3 bolts that hold the steering arm to the strut assembley?

    yep, those are the ones, i'm going to put on my jamex springs and shocks tomorrow, also the torque wrench settings for the caliper carrier would be handy

    those 3 bolts and the brake carrier to strut bolts are 81 ft/lbs. you are supposed to use retaining compound on the 3 bolts for vibration resistance.

    the other things you will need values for is...
    3 13mm self locking nuts on the mounts, 16 ft/lbs
    large self locking nut holding shock to mount, new shock specific (maybe 48 ft/lbs)
    swaybar link to strut, 48 ft/lbs (yes the manual says 43 but its just not enough!)
    brake carrier guide bolt to caliper, 26 ft/lbs

    thats great thankyou, i already know about using threadlock, i would have done that anyway
