Default What is "THEFT ALARM SYSTEM WITH ZV"?

    In German "DIEBSTAHLWARNANLAGE MIT ZV"

I have loud horns that sound if a car door is opened once the car is deadlocked. I have a red light on the dash, but it doesn't flash (maybe blown)...

Is there any chance it ever had keyless entry with this option? Phil Sanderson reckons not... that this was what they fitted prior to doing that- but the ZV part has me wondering...

Oh, and a BIG Thanks to AusMpower for doing all those VIN lookups. Very excellent work indeed!

DWA = Diebstahlwarnanlage = burglar alarm
mit ZV = mit Zentralverriegelung= central locking system.

But that does not mean that it is keyless.
