Default Anyone have pic of the steering column nut we tighten?

I've not had any luck tightening some stuff under the steering column and my steering is pretty loose. I don't care about inward and outward adjusting of steering column because i never change my position, I really want to tighten up the slop in this!

Can someone show me the thing we tighten - I feel I've been tightening the wrong nut.

Are you talking about tightening the proverbial nut behind the wheel?

    Enjoy!

Its kinda hard to turn, you might want to have a friend hold the wheel while you tighten it. One method would be to jam the wrench against the floor and use the power steering to tighten it, but im not going to recommend that.

I've never had trouble turning it....a little penetrating oil and some elbow grease should take care of it. Especially if it's loose now, tightening it shouldn't be that hard.

A better pic...for no particular reason.
