Default What's the torque setting for the 10mm bolts holding...

the oil pump together on a M60 motor? One of mine fell out and the rest are loose. Also, should I use (locktite) on them?

    Thanks,
    Darren

There are 11 M6 bolts on the oil pump and 3 M8's fastening the pump to the base. Remove the nut on the pump sprocket and then remove the three M8's you can then remove the oil pump.

Otherwise many of the M6's you cannot access let alone using a torque wrench to tighten to spec. There is one long M6 you definitely can not remove with out removeing the oil pump.

let the loctite on the pump bolts cure for at least 24 hours before reinstalling the pump, and another 24 before filling oil up after using it on the bolt and nuts holding the pump to the engine.

ALSO, those nuts are self locking, and getting new ones is greatly preferred.

the torque spec on those is 22NM, and on the nut holding the sprocket on, 47NM
