Default e34 indash cd player instead of using changer

I'm having a hard time finding the right cd changer / mount for a '95 525i.

I started looking at indash units that are being sold on ebay for about $325. They're the business BMW / RDS units. Do these work in E34s as they claim / sized the same?
    Any idea?

May work but will depend on what was fitted to your car originally.

Also some of the business units have no internal amplifier what so ever.

I have an in dash cd player, in fact always had them, from my E24 628Csi, E28 525i, E34 535i and now just put into my E34 525i. The radio aperture is the same I always thought, and plyers whether cd or tape are the same size too.
This is my one put in last week from my (now scraped) E34 535i.

He was talking about factory BMW ones, yours (and mine) are aftermarket.

The BMW CD43 indash CD unit (from out of the e36 & Z3) are single DIN units that fit into the e34 radio opening. The radios from the e46 do NOT fit...and it's obvious by their shape that they don't fit.

For more info about the CD43 and how to make it work in an e34...go to the following site which has other links to help clarify the process and what you need: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/433594/17

Sorry about some of the pics not exploding into the larger size...CarDomain did some server upgrade at one point and the older pics no longer explode. You'll also note that there are some pics of the CD43 in-dash unit installed into an e38...yes...it fits the same single DIN space as the e38s cassette tape unit.

They do. You can even look at Rover's models. They're the same. I got this one off Ebay. Works great. Simple plug and play. Cheaper too...
