Coil Spring Markings

Does anyone have a list of what the different markings and color codes are on the factory springs?

I have seen blue, white and orange stripes on different springs and would like to find out what the applications are for the different springs.

Is this an unknown area of our cars?

I have seen a reference to a spring application table in the ETK, but have not found it in any of the ETK, TIS or E34 stuff that I have.
