Default Just got back...New project items for Summer

    Hello all,

arrived home off the boat on Tues. after 90 days. just getting back into the groove of things, especially with the project BMW.

Within the next few weeks, would like to start on getting the following items:
    1. springs and shocks
    2. HID lights (cant see anymore at night)
    3. painting brake calipers
    to name a few...

the big thing is the paint. i washed it the other day and noticed on top of the bonnet that the paint is coming off. i can lightly rub my fingers on the finish and a white residue forms on my finger tips. Im not entirely interested in respraying the car, but want to preserve what's there now. Any suggestions?
    (car is alpinewhite)

    feels good to be back
    of course, thnx in advance

Welcome back!!! I don't see how you can go so long without having "project BMW" in your life. It's got to be tough. Enjoy the holiday weekend!

Sounds like your paint is just oxidized. No clear coat I think so just buff it out.
Lucky for you it's white, real easy to make look better.
