    Default m60 engine overheated

Hi, my 3.0 m60 overheated today, It rapidly overheated while i was looking for a place to park, by the time I'd stopped it was halfway through the red. i popped the bonnet and the radiator top hose had blown off the radiator and snapped the plastic connection off. there was enough pipe left for my to put the hose back on, I put in as much water as was in the car (about 6 litres) started her up and the temp went to dead centre. All i can think of is that the rad top hose conection must have been cracked, finally broken and started leaking, the car gave an over heating warning, then as soon as i stopped it gave a low coolant warning. any help would be greatly appeciated. thanks
