Default H&R spring question + possible sale for you M50 guys

So, I recently picked up some H&R springs but I fear that they are for M50 E34's only. I searched the part number on the H&R website before buying to make sure, and since there was no 1989 525i listed, I used the part number for the 1990 525i (technically the same car). It matched, so I bought the springs. BUT, now that I look on other websites it seems that the part number 29672 is for M50 E34's only, and it is part number 50413 that I want.

If anyone knows whether or not there is a difference, it would be much appreciated. There is some variance in information on the websites and I just need to get my facts straight. I'd love to be able to use them, but if there is no way to make them fit, then I guess I will be forced to sell.

did you call H&R? must have something to do with the weight of the engine but they should fit. might sit high, might sit lower. let me see if I can find the weight of the 2 engines.

ok the M50 is about 40 lbs heavier than the M20 so it will sit high, probably too high.
the M60 is even 22 lbs heavier than that.

Hmmm, so you think the weight is all it is? Because the part number 50413 was listed for ALL E34 models, with the M60's and M50's included. BUT part 29672 seems to be only for M50 models.

I'll give H&R a call soon. I just wanted to see if anyone here had an answer.
