Default M60 timing chain tensioner help!

the bolt on the left of it was removed from the engine block, and the tensioner slipped out. HOWEVER it seems to fit fine backwards! (i think)

it even started, althouth it sounds like the chain is loose, and was loud at startup.

what is the correct installation for that thing, ie., which way does it face.
any special trick to getting it back in, short of rebuilding the timing case!?

the pic doesnt really show what it looks like shape wise.

well, i removed it again, cleaned the hell out of it with brake cleaner, then lubed it up with moly assembley grease.

seems to have done the trick.

realoem helped with the direction (which was the way i had it)
