Default Rear view mirror a little shaky?

I had to take care of this last night after having done it 4 years back. A REALLY ease fix, all of 30 seconds.

Grab the mirror and turn it counterclockwise 1/8th turn. It will come right out in your hand. Now get a business card and tear a square out of it around
1/6th the size of the card. Put that piece into the socket of the mirror and re-install.

    Vibration and shakiness gone!

    Or:

After removing the mirror, instead of using a slip of paper, use needle nose pliers and slightly crimp the wires that are there. This will snug it up when put back.

sometimes the glass gets loose in the housing and you need to pop it apart and shim the rubber feet that have shrunk inside, and when the plastic ring cracks that tightens up the ball joint or one of the ears it's hooked on snaps off it's screwed
