Default how big is too big?...20s?

i read on one of the past threads that 18s its the biggest size one should put on our cars. why is that? does it rub the wheel well if its any bigger? will i lose stability with 20s? i dont want to lose to much power if there heavy but im not out there to race either. i would research this my self but...im a busy man.

19's are alright, ride quality would suffer terribly. 20's are just too big and will screw up your front end unless you take preemptive measures- read thousands in suspension upgrades and ****....

I was out and about in the “hood” and seen some pimp’n rides with outrageously large wheels.

These were domestic autos, for instance a late 70’s early 80’s GM type. I certainly didn’t stop and ask the wheel size however I believe they were 20’s or larger.

The cars looked silly and made me believe the owners were not very intelligent. I realize my assumption is based strictly on the fact that I’m getting to be an old fart and I somehow cant relate to this wheel size thing.

My advice is some 15 inch bottle caps with whitewall tires.
