Default OT: Best beginner-intermediate photo editing software?

My trial period for Paint Shop Pro has expired. It had lots of fancy stuff that I don't think I would ever use. What's your pick for a reasonably-priced, decently-featured, but easy-to-use photo editing program? I'll mostly be using it for basic re-sizing, red-eye reduction, etc., but I'd like to have the ability to do more.

    Any input is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Drew,

you can download Abobe Photoshop 2.0 Starter Edition for free from Adobe and it does not expire. It has red eye fixing. If you have acrobat reader, let it check for any upgrades and you can download Photoshop 2.0 SE then.

    Default Photoshop Elements is nice

Very easy to use and can be had for under US$80.00

The free item is Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition. You can crop, fix red eyes and opt for the "single click fix". Plus organize, create, share, etc. Pretty decent for free.

    Default GIMP for windows

    http://www.gimp.org/windows/

This program was recently released in version 2.0

It offers many of the features as full blown photoshop but at a very attractive price, free. A great way to learn if you want to do more than basic photo manipulation.
