What is the difference between doing the Shogun Reset and just disconnecting the ZIF connector from the DME computer? Doesn't disconnecting the computer connector clear the memory from the DME?

i disconnect computers all the time with the battery hot, if i can't reset the computer with my scanner (95 and older you can't) i just unplug it for a few seconds
