Except for brakes, they should be very similar...or identical.

Depends on which brand struts and springs you are using. Some, like Bilstein and Eibach (I think) make different parts for different engine e34s, while others just make one spring or strut for multiple e34 applications. The parts should fit and the weight between the big 6 and aluminum 8 is close enough that rates should be pretty darn close.
