to the steering column probably not.
and i dont think the mirrors have sensors to tell their location.
for the seat, there is a specific seat with a memory module.
I'll get some photos this weekend; they look pretty good, if I do say so myself. Next project: adding memory to the power seat / mirrors / steering column. Can it be done? Is it simple? Should I even mess with it? Please advise.

Do I have to replace the entire seat, or can I just add the module?Originally Posted by BillionPa

i think there is a specific model of seating harness that has to be retrofitted as well as the module.
but the heated seat itself above the mount is esentially the same....
regardless it will be helpful if you have a degree in electrical engineering.
isnt there a memory module which stores the possitons and controls the seats and mirrors? There was a multi thread topic on this a while ago...Javier sussed it out prolly shogun too for an american guy in italy who had some m5 seats or something similar....
Gone but not forgotten
You will have to replace the seat, mirror, rewired the switch, hook into the gear selector. In another word, not worth the effert.

Yeah, I saw that. Hence the question.

Yeah, I'm starting to get the "too much hassle" vibe. Besides, my wife almost never drives my car. Ah, well, thought it might be cheap and simple. Thanks, y'all.
