    Default R12 to R134a

Hi all, my A/C in the 525 needs a recharge but alas it's an R12 system due to it being a '90. I'm toying with the idea of switching over to the R134a system as it's starting to warm up a bit. Now I have done this conversion on several other cars and its quite simple(drain, refit, refill), I am just curious if anyone here has had any issues doing this on the BMW...

BTW, I am environmentally certified so I can drain the system without recourse.

Not sure on what issues you'll have. However here's a page you can look at on exacly how it's done and if there are any possible issues that may arise.
