    Default Good weekend!

    Howzit Guys,

Well yesterday I drain my coolant. Got a bit messy when I took the 19mm drain plug out of the engine, didn't realise I would get the stuff all over me, ha ha.

I found a leaky pipe, it goes under the top radiator hose. So since it was quite long, I cut it and re joined it. Re filled, bled the system, found another problem so drain re filed and bled again. Went for a slow drive. And now the temp doesn't even go one bar above half way.

I tested the fan clutch. It seems fine, took quite a bit of force with a news paper to stop the fan. I went to pick my sister up and then went to my brothers house and drove back. She didn't overheat, not in the slightest!

Thanks Jeff, Paul and everyone who helped me with this problem. All fixed and my head gasket is still in one peice, thank god!

I put the Check Engine light bulb in and did a stomp test. I get 1444 - No fault found.
    So happy now!!

Im glad its good now! Kinda depressed I was wrong tho, didnt know bout the leaks, those pull in air as the engine cools leading to the air in the system.

    Good job!

I didn't know about the leaks either. Until I heard a hissing sound, saw some steam near the water pump. So I was like oh crap, pump gone. So I look closer, and see the pipe above it has a whole on the lip. So I drained the whole system, then cut it and re joined. Perfect.

Really happy about it being fixed now.

Don't worry about being wrong, you helped me more then enough!
