    Default Turboing a 525i

I know there are several kits out there to turbo a bmw.

But my question is what manifold they use and what type of turbos they are able to support.

My VR4 is running on TD04 housing and there are several turbos that you can choose from to mate.

But what about the e34 525i?

    Thanks

one of the main reasons i ask is because I search, and none of the websites list the CFM's of the turbo, size or any information.

For example... here is what i found from one website.

What the TSI Extreme Kit comes with:

    1 Garrett Turbo w/internal wastegate @ 6psi
1 High Nickel Composite Cast Exhaust Manifold
    1 Downpipe
    1 Fuel Pressure Regulator
    1 MAP Unit
1 Oil Return Line and Fitting
    1 Air Filter w/piping
1 Injection Control Unit w/Turbo Timer
    1 Injector Interface Block w/Injectors
    1 Blow Off Valve

is there a size to the garett turbo? Why is it only capable of 6 psi? what is the air flow of the turbos?

Grrrrr it makes me quite upset...

im clueless to the turbo world of the E34s....

well, see the problem is, everyone i hear turboing their car, it is usually with a T25 setup.

I'm trying to find someone who has a bigger turbo set up, something like a T40R, that has upgraded pistons with lower compression, and custom fabrication.

I want to try to fit a bigger single turbo in. I know it will require some better internal parts, but I don't mind. Anyone have any inputs?

setup a custom turbo you aren't really going to find a kit for that type of turbo. im building a turbo 535i and im using the gt42r and je forged pistons and all sorts of goodies. you should talk with jonk. he really knows his stuff he's supercharging a m50 so he would be the one to talk to on this motor.
