Default My car thinks it's really, really cold outside

At lunch today my outside temperature was showing anywhere from -2 F to -515 F. Is that most likely to be a bad outside temperature sensor or something else? I don't think I know exactly where the outside temperature sensor is located or whether it is replacable or not.

in the US... I think it's under the passanger side bumper....
If it cannot be fixed by the dremel or ducktape.. get out the sledge...

    Default Check the connection...

...under the bumper where the sensor is located and just behind the sensor is a connection. Pull it apart and blast out any water and clean off the corrosion. Replug and wait a day.... this usually fixes the problem.

It's a little yellow and black ambient temperature sensor. 25 bucks and just pop it out and pop the new one in. Very easy, except for crawling under the car.

Perhaps you've just accidentally set the guage to display the current temperature on Mars.
