Default Coolant Issues and start up problems.

Ok guys so I am having some issues after upgrading all my cooling components today. So I have a coolant leak under my intake manifold right behind oil filter cup on the block. I know its not the t-stat housing or water pump as thoughs are sealed very well. The hose that is behind the housing is fine and brand new since I replaced every singe coolant line possible today along with a brand new heater core and aux water pump. I am dumb founded on where it could be leaking from. Maybe the engine coolant drain plug? I thought that was on the other side by exhaust.

2nd problem. After buttoning everything up and bleeding my cooling system. I drove her back to my house from my shop. Let her sit in my drive way for about 45 min then when i was getting ready to go get dinner I started her up and she had a rough start up. Idle seems to be holding at 750 but she sputters a little on idle and then when i hit the gas she sputters till I floor it and she then will get moving. I have replaced entire exhaust including headers cats o2 sensor and such. She has brand new spark plugs and icv in her. She does have a cold air intake and brand new maf sensor. she is not storing any error codes nor is my check engine light on. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

Also fuel pump and filter and all fuel lines are only 8 months old. Also valve seal and the seals around the spark plug bungs are brand new felpro brand.

what imput or advice do you guys have. I am litterly dum founded.

As you say, the coolant drain plug is on the other side underneath the exhaust manifold. Is the leak coming from the area where the hose connects to the stub out of the timing chain cover? I used a web cam on the end of a stick to find a leak there but I now have one of these:

Having just gone through an almost identical process, you might have a cracked head.
Description fits - poor and rough start, clears when driving and hot. If you get hydraulic lock when starting, you'll know for sure. I thought mine was a small headgasket leak but it became worse and when the head came off, it was a crack. BMW specialist told me our 525 heads were prone to cracks and it wasn't uncommon. Mine was welded and fixed. If it can be fixed, make sure the repairer is one that heats the head up prior to welding as it makes a better more permanent repair than cold welding.
Hope I'm wrong for your sake, but it is a possibility.

Check the vacuum lines up in front- those connectors have o-rings that leak in time. Have you replaced all those? In doing the work you have done, it would be easy for what you seem to be observing that it is **just** a vacuum leak in a place where the oil will leak out and make it look worse than it is. Cracked pipes, badly fitting connectors/seals- inspect the simple/cheap things before worrying about the big stuff. Check the vacuum line to the FPR is okay too- mini connector under the manifold, w pipe leading to the FPR input. watch for perished pipes/connectors...
