Have you tried Jasper Engines? I put in a few, and haven't had any problems with them. Good luck.........Derek

Of the 20 or so jasper engines I installed 7 or 8 of them came back with every thing from oil puking all over the place to rod knocks, one honda even had a bad timing belt idler and scattered 1/2 the valves after 1k miles. I've had far better experience with used engines straight from the junk yard. reputable junk yards will start the engine before its removed and store them inside out of the rain.

I finaly decided that one should go either with a used engine or a factory reman.

    www.car-part.com

basically a compilation of junkyard inventories all over the country (Canada too). You can make your search as narrow or as wide as you want, sort by geographic region/state and/or price. They have a decent interchange function too- in case that engine is available in other models.

Keep in mind that this is NOT a company website- it's a service that junkyards pay to use to get their inventory online. You'll be given a basic description of the part and the junkyard that has it in stock, along with their contact info. I would recommend CALLING the junkyard instead of emailing them- many junkyards are not really good at replying to emails. Also, the price listed is probably somewhat negotiable- especially if you offer to pick the part up and pay for it at the time of pickup.
