    Default KYB shocks any good?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/KYB-G...QQcmdZViewItem

I'm looking to do a suspension upgrade and particularly want to lower my 5er. Has anyone had expereince w/ these shocks? i want to do it for as cheap and effectively as i can. i know that w/ $ comes value though so i was just wondering about the cheapest thing i could find on the Bay. Also if anyone has used sport suspension components i'd be very interested. Also need springs.
    Thanks,
    Micah

Default I put them on a lot of customers cars and i like them , they ride

better than bilsteins in my opinion and have a no questions asked lifetime warranty. Heres a pic of some for a e34 that i did, and yesterday i put some on a volvo 240 wagon. One of my favorite shocks and struts on a bang for the buck deal. The volvo struts i did yesterday i got for 42.00 each locally so you may want to check around before going for that deal on ebay.

Seriously? I was looking at these and the name reminds me too much of a 'certain jelly' to take them seriously

So if they're 'better' than Bilstein HDs I may consider them...

in 10 years of selling (over the counter) and installing kyb's we've seen maybe 5-10 bad ones, definatly good parts, the white high pressure units could give bilsteins a run for their money and the silver low pressure are a good stock replacment maybe a notch above stock being gas

    Hi Bill (or anyone...)

Re: the lifetime warranty, have you used that with them before? If you get a few years of life from the shock and it goes tango uniform, will they send a replacement or is there an expected life of the product?

Default I just did a 525 recently that i had done 4 years ago, i called up

the parts house i was buying them from, they checked to make sure they had it in stock. I pulled the 4 year old ones off and took them down and they gave me new ones. No rebuilding , no hassles. I did have the original receipts still. Back in the 70's and 80's we used to warranty hundreds of them on off road sand rails, dune buggy's etc.. they would routinely break rear shocks on a 4 and 6 rear shock setup , jumping dunes and generally abusing the shocks terrifically. Kyb never ever squabbled over the warranty. Bilstein was also very popular on these off road cars and warranty was always a lot more trouble with them.
