Thread: seat is off its track

Default seat is off its track

The driver seat of my '89 535i is twisted and I can't figure out how to remedy the situation. Can someone point me to whats up with the track mechanism.
    Thanks.

for someone that is not familiar with this, the whole process of removing the seat, disconnecting seatbelts, disconnecting hight adjusters, understanding the cable system - it doesnt take a couple of hours, it will take best part of an afternoon or day - sure after youve sone it you can do the whole thing in a few hours, but not for a newby to this issue

Hey....thanks for the advice, pics, know-how, etc. I think the offset mini-pillow I've been using has been upgraded to a necessity for the rest of this '89 535i's
life. Fortunately, otherwise it's a great car.

Why dont you fix it? IMO, if you dont at least try to fix it or pay someone else to, you arent a worthy e34 owner.
