Default Semi OT, BMW E21 related

    Hey folks,

I have been trying to sell my little E21 for a month now. It sold once on ebay but the buyer couldn’t arrange shipping. This actually was good because the car only sold for $1048.00. Anyway the car is back on ebay… the auction gets a lot of hits but I’m afraid the car will sell for practically nothing again.

Perhaps I put too much value in the car and it really isn’t worth anything? Could a few of our experts take a look at the auction and give an honest opinion. Don’t worry about offending me if your opinion is not favorable.

    Thanks

i would buy it if i lived closer, for no more than $2K though since i like old bmws. the thing is those cars do not have the appeal as an e30 or a 2002 which can drive the price up like a decent condition 02.

Yeah I tend to agree with the lack of appeal thing. Remember that an E30 which is waaaaay ahead in terms of handling, features, style etc etc doesn't cost anything these days. You'll just have to be patient and find an enthusiast. IMHO it's not the type of car that the average person takes on in its current condition. Good luck with it and I hope you find it a home.

mate, pity you don't live in aust. people at the ECCA are nuts about e21's i must say i like them, but yeah it is definitely a niche market. try finding a specialist e21 forum and advertising there!

Too bad I dont have the space or time to hold on to this little car.. finding the right new owner on ebay is the best I can do. The car is also on a e21 forum but no offers.

Have you put it on the various free classifieds for BMWs? Pelican, Bimmerforums, Craigslist? Like everybody has said, it will take the right person. It's too bad, it looks like a fun project, and you've done a lot. At the least I would try Bf.c and Pelican, it can't hurt.
